Bring a mix of snacks, games, coloring books, tablets with movies/shows, and headphones. For road trips, plan breaks for kids to stretch and play. On planes, try to book direct flights to minimize travel stress.

Pack familiar snacks, choose restaurants with kids’ menus, and consider all-inclusive resorts or cruises where there are many dining options. Bringing a refillable water bottle for everyone is also a good idea.

Keep a photo of your child in case you get separated, establish a meeting spot, carry a small first-aid kit, and teach older kids basic safety rules for crowds, swimming, and exploring.
